Our pay rates
1:1 support
This refers to bookings between 1 support worker and 1 particpant.

Sleepover support
A sleepover shift is an 8-10 hour booking that starts any time after 7pm. Additional support can be scheduled before and after the sleepover at the hourly rate of that day. Learn more about sleepover support.

Transport
By prior agreement, a participant can cover the cost of transport provided during a booking, including travel to their location. In line with NDIS guidelines, you may charge for travel time to a participant and for vehicle expenses at the approved per-kilometre rate — including the return trip. However, travel time for the return journey is not claimable.

Video and phone bookings
Connect with particpants no matter where you live via an online video or phone booking. We understand these bookings may not always last the minimum booking time of 1 hour, so we offer a 30 minute video or phone booking rate (for calls over 30 minutes, the normal hourly rate applies).

Ready to support your community with Tascare?
Before we begin, here are a few important things you’ll need to know:
- You’ll operate as an independent contractor — managing your own tax, super, and business setup — while proudly working under the Tascare banner to support people in your community.
- You’ll need a current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- You’ll need an ABN (Australian Business Number)
- You’ll need a Photo ID (e.g., driver’s licence or passport)
- Two references
- Although our support workers are independent contractors, we take care of invoicing participants for you.
- Tascare maintains basic insurance cover limited to general support services provided under standard NDIS roles. This coverage does not include workers compensation, accident cover, or personal liability for subcontractors. We strongly recommend that all subcontractors obtain their own comprehensive insurance, including public liability, professional indemnity, and income protection, to ensure they are fully covered for all circumstances.
